About Tracy S. Kaufman, MSW, LMT, BCTMB, CPT

Tracy graduated in 1989 with a B.A. from The College of Wooster, majoring in both Sociology and Religious Studies. After college she attended the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis where she earned her Master of Social Work Degree. Soon after graduation in 1991, Tracy moved to Columbus and began working as a medical social worker at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She worked with children with congenital heart defects and their families for 11 years. Tracy then took a position as the Program Coordinator for the Children’s Hospice program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she worked until November, 2004.

Feeling a calling toward health and wellness, Tracy attended the American Institute of Alternative Medicine to pursue her interest in massage therapy. Tracy graduated as valedictorian of her class in September, 2006 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist through the State Medical Board of Ohio (License # 33.015764). Tracy is also Board Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (Certificant # 52537906). Tracy is a professional member in the American Massage Therapy Association and is a member of the Ohio Sports Massage Therapy Team.

Tracy loves being in the business of helping people. She recognizes the many benefits of massage and wants to help you in your health and wellness efforts by providing you with a professional, individualized, therapeutic massage.

Specialized Training

Tracy has primary training in Swedish massage, incorporating a variety of circulatory and relaxation techniques, and in Neuromuscular Therapy (including Myofascial Release and Trigger Point work). Tracy has also received specialized training in pregnancy massage, sports massage, orthopedic massage, hot stone massage, Thermal Palms massage, spa techniques (aromatherapy massage, aromatherapy wraps, detoxification wraps, and salt and sugar exfoliation massage), and Lomi Lomi (traditional Hawaiian massage). In 2011 Tracy became a Certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine.  She is now able to offer stretching and strengthening instructions to enhance the healing process of massage.  Each massage Tracy performs is customized, using a combination of techniques to address your current needs. Tempo Therapeutic Massage, LLC

Tracy started her own business, Tempo Therapeutic Massage, LLC, early in 2007. She has been offering massage services to the Powell community and surrounding areas since that time. In December, 2009, the business moved to it's current location at 3783 Attucks Drive in Powell. Tracy has flexible hours, including hours during the daytime, in the evenings, and on weekends. She will gladly work with you to find a convenient time for your massage that fits into your schedule.
