Late Arrival/Cancellation Policy:

Late Arrival:
Your appointment time is reserved for you. A one-hour session is 60 minutes. A late arrival will shorten your session. The cost of the session will remain the same.

We understand that there may be times when you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Whenever possible, please provide 24 hours notice to make your appointment time available for other clients. If you must cancel on the day of your appointment, you need to call at least 2 hours before your appointment time. If you call less than 2 hours before your appointment, or if you do not show at all, this will be considered a "no show" and you will be charged a $25.00 “no show” fee. If you are a new client, you will also forfeit your new client discount. You may reschedule, but at the regular price. Two or more "no shows" in a row will result in a full charge for a massage and you will need to pre-pay to schedule future massages. Emergency cancellations are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are determined at the therapist's discretion.

Therapist Changes in Appointments:
Just as you are asked to respect your massage therapist's time, your massage therapist will also respect your time. You can expect your therapist to be on time and ready for you at your scheduled appointment time. In the off chance that your therapist starts your appointment late, your will still receive your full session time, or the price will be adjusted if scheduling does not permit an extension. If the therapist must cancel your appointment due to illness or emergency, you will be notified as soon as possible. If this cancellation occurs within 5 hours of your appointment time, you will receive $20.00 off your rescheduled appointment.

Professionalism/Therapeutic Relationship:

Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics:
You can expect your massage therapist at Tempo Therapeutic Massage, LLC to be professional and to be respectful of personal and professional boundaries at all times. As a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Ohio, your therapist must abide by Ohio law governing the practice of massage therapy, and by the AMTA Standards of Practice and the AMTA Code of Ethics. Tracy is a professional member in the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). Tracy is also Nationally Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). Inappropriate Behavior:
At Tempo Therapeutic Massage, LLC, you will receive a therapeutic massage. It is against Ohio law, and a Licensed Massage Therapist will never massage the genital area (male or female). Also, while work may be done on the muscles of the chest, a Licensed Massage Therapist will never work directly on the female breasts. Proper draping techniques will be used to protect your privacy and only the area of the body on which the therapist is working will be exposed. Sexually suggestive behavior will not be tolerated. The therapist may terminate the session at any time, at the therapists' discretion, if the client's behavior is deemed inappropriate. You will still be expected to pay for the session.

Your therapist will make every effort to provide you with a customized massage that meets your needs, and assures your comfort and safety. Communication with your therapist is very important. Your therapist will expect you to let him/her know if you are uncomfortable in any way, so adjustments can be made in your treatment during your massage. The client has the right to refuse treatment and may terminate a session at any time.

If you have a complaint about your therapist, or Tempo Therapeutic Massage, LLC, please contact Tracy Kaufman so she may try to resolve your issues. If you are still unable to resolve the issue, or if you have a complaint of illegal or unethical behavior on the part of your therapist, or of Tempo Therapeutic Massage, LLC, you may contact the Licensing Board or professional organizations that oversee the practice of your massage therapist.
